I hate moths. When I was little my mother was scared of them, and I was the brave little boy who was volunteered to help. As I got a bit older, I started to feel a bit uneasy about them, and now they just scare me. Don’t ask me why – I don’t know.

People say “ooh, but they’re harmless!” and I know this. But people are scared of spiders, and the vast majority of those are about as dangerous as a tea towel.

Strangely enough, butterflies don’t worry me. I spose its cos butterflies are pretty (in an ornamental way) and they have the intelligence of a dead snail…

rather like a morning weather girl.

Whereas…moths seem to have a sort of guile about them. Or at least, the ones where i live do. I swear that the little bastards chase me about the place. What is it that moths actually do, anyway? Nobody keeps them as pets, cos they’re too ugly. If anybody can give me a genuinely good reason that moths should be allowed to live, I shall send them a postcard and a stick of rock.
